Mini Medics – First Aid for Children

Could your child help in an emergency?

Mini Medics is a fun, practical and hands-on introduction to first aid for children aged 7–11, designed to give children the confidence to know what to do when someone needs help.

During the 2½-hour session, children will get involved, practice real first-aid skills and learn:

  • How and when to call 999 and what information to give

  • CPR and what to do if someone is unresponsive

  • The recovery position

  • What to do if someone is choking

  • How to deal with bleeding and wounds

  • What a defibrillator (AED) does and how it can help

There are no tests or assessments. The emphasis is on having fun, getting hands-on and helping children leave feeling more confident about what they could do in a real emergency.

The course is delivered by a Registered Nurse and experienced first-aid trainer with Enhanced DBS clearance.

Every child receives their own Mini Medics workbook to take home, and snacks, squash and drinks are provided during the session.
